After graduating from Indiana University in 1967 with a degree in Home Economics Education, I went to the University of Illinois where I received a M.S. in Housing and met my husband, Jim Goss.  Jim passed away in Jan. 2011.

We moved to D.C. where I taught at the oldest black high school in the U.S. and he attended Georgetown Law School with Jerry Abramson. We then settled in Grosse Pointe, MI. I eventually became a Legal Assistant and worked on the defense of very large lawsuits.

Tiring of the law, I returned to education as a Foods and Nutrition and special ed teacher in Detroit.  I retired from teaching in June of 2012.

We have two married daughters who live on the east coast who have a blessed me with 3 grandsons.  I spend a lot of time visiting them and hope to do much more traveling in my retirement.
