Occupation / Career: Founder and owner of RE/MAX Properties East for past 21 years. Founded a mortgage company and title company in 1989. Sold in 2006.
Biography: Worked for non-food divisions of Kroger Co for 7 years after college. District manager Texas and Florida, Division manager Detroit. Got married and tired of travel so we opened a day care center in Louisville while I transitioned into real estate. Sold the center 2 years later. Divorced after 7 years and 1 child, Kelly. 3 years later married my present wonderful wife of 25 years. We also had a daughter, Kati, who is about to graduate from U of L. Our family has been fortunate and traveled a lot over the past decade. Last summer: Italy, Greece, Turkey. This summer: Scandinavia, Germany, Russia. The highlights of my business career were being named RE/MAX International Broker/ Owner of the year and GLAR’s REALTOR of the year. Love to play golf, but have little time to play much. Enjoy spending time working in yard and garden and enjoy reading.
Some of the best years of my life were spent with everyone at Seneca. We were all lucky to have had the teachers, coaches and staff we had at Seneca. They created a great atmosphere for learning, but they also were “Seneca Redskins” and part of the team spirit that made us all part of something very special. No wonder that the Seneca of those days produced so many successes: Diane Sawyer, the Unselds, Don Waddell and Brenda Igo to name just a few. There are many others. I am extremely proud to have been a Seneca Redskin of that era.
