Began college at Westhampton College, University of Richmond. I married after two years, and finished college at Kentucky Southern/UL. We had two sons and a daughter, and after 21 years, divorced. Each of my sons have one daughter; I lost my daughter to a hit-and run driver. I remarried in 1998 and together, we have four grandchildren.
I taught Middle school gifted children and retired after 30 years. For the next 10 years, I worked with a Foundation that sponsored scholarship students form Costa Rica. Every spring I taught a 2 week ACT prep class in San Jose de Pinella, Costa Rica, and every following school year, became an active sponsor at 6 Georgia colleges where our scholarship students attended. I also played piano professionally, retiring when I retired from teaching.
Now, I enjoy travel with my husband, quilting, art, and gardening. I am still reading, reading, reading, and playing piano.
Some memories from school: Mr. Boyer's crazy class. I see him stirring a punch bowl with the meter stick. Basketball and more basketball. Geometry class when Mr. Ewing fell over in his chair and so many more.
